Bangor Market is definitely a treasure that should not be overlooked. Located on Buck Street just across from the Bangor Raceway it offers a wide variety of local products. I stopped by this past Saturday to search out some local products for my kitchen and pantry.
Open year round on Saturdays from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm local vendors offer a little bit of everything.
Locally sourced Meats from Curtis Custom Meats and Poultry from Mainely Poultry,
Award Winning Artisan Cheeses from Sunset Acres Farm & Dairy,
ready made Foods, Soups, Dips and Sauces from Las Dos Hermanas Catering,
Local Restorative Mushrooms and Herbal Teas from Fibonacci Farm,
Natural Ointments and Creams from The Painted Pony,
Fresh Organic Produce from Fisher Farm,
Artisan Breads and Granola from Pebblestone Farm,
Freshly made Ethnic Dishes and Gardening Seedlings from Terri Sleeper and her husband of Mediterranean Foods,
Fresh Locally Sourced Milk from Siberia Farms,
Italian Specialties from Massimos’ Bakery,
and of course Fresh Flowers from Sunnyside Florist. These are just some of the vendors who appear at Bangor Market and there will be a lot more vendors and selections as we head into spring.
I can’t wait!!!
And while you’re there be sure to pop into Ingrid’s European Imports. Ingrid and Rick have some more local products and a wide variety of beautiful hand-crafted items imported directly from Germany!
It is such a pleasure to find a variety of products in one location and to be able to support our locals so if you are in the neighborhood be sure to stop by on a Saturday. You’ll be so glad you did!

I am their daughter but I moved away in 1995 & can’t tell you how impressed I am that at their age how much they have diversified!! I get things from the market shipped to me in Virginia!! This business has been in our family for almost 100 years & as the flower business dwindled the way they figured out what the area needed is amazing!! My mom is from Germany & this is how they do things there! Literally ONE STOP shopping & keeping local businesses thriving!!

Hi Jacquie, your parents are the sweetest people! So glad that they are here and providing such wonderful services. The gift shop is amazing! We had friends visiting recently who were extremely happy to find all of the wonderful German items that your mom offers. It gave them a taste of home! ๐

I’m glad that Rick and Ingrid’s place of business got some media attention. This place has been here for years from a florist to having Ingrid’s gift shop and a Farmer’s Market. It’s always a friendly place and very delightful. On Saturday’s when its Farmers Market Day you can always know that Rick Sr. will be there. I just love that place! I like Ingrid’s gift shop. Its always a delight. Ya never know what’s gonna be there. I hope this place stays for as long as it can.
